Questions, answered

What TuckleInTales is, and how it works.

What is TuckleInTales?
TuckleInTales is a unique story writing and reading app that turns a quiet moment into a cosy story time you share with your little one. You bring the voice an idea or a lesson, we bring a fresh, personalised tale — so a grown-up and a little one can read together, side by side.
Why did you make it? What's the point?
To bring a child and the person reading to them — a parent, a grandparent, an aunty or uncle — closer together, and to spark a love of reading early in a child's life. It's a bonding ritual, not a screen to hand over. The magic isn't the app; it's the time you spend together.
How are the stories created?
Live, on the spot, just for your child. You tell us a few things — their first name or nick name, age group, what they love, perhaps your culture, and a gentle lesson you'd like woven in. Our AI writes a brand-new story, with an illustration generated for every single page. Nothing is picked from a shelf of pre-written tales; each story is created fresh, in real time, the moment you ask.
Are the stories and pictures really unique, or pre-made?
Truly unique. Both the words and the artwork are generated on demand from your child's details — it's never a canned template, and no two families get the same story.
Do the stories teach anything?
Every story carries a gentle moral or lesson — but we never spell it out. It's tucked quietly into the tale, and it's over to you, the grown-up, to draw it out: to pause, ask what your little one thinks, and connect it to your own life and experiences. That conversation is where the real learning happens.
Can my child learn a word in another language?
Yes. Choose a language when you set up the story — there are 75 to pick from, including Hindi, Gujarati, Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Greek, Italian and many more. Every page has one special word to explore, and it appears in your chosen language alongside the English. It's a lovely way for a grandparent to pass on their mother tongue, or for a family to pick up something new together — one word at a time, without it ever feeling like a lesson.
What if I can't read the script?
You'll still be able to say it. For languages that don't use the Latin alphabet — Hindi, Arabic, Greek, Japanese and so on — we show the word in its own script and a simple pronunciation guide written in English letters underneath. So बहादुर also appears as "bahadur", ready to read aloud.
Can we hear how the word is pronounced?
Yes — just tap to listen. You can hear each word spoken in English, and again in the language you chose, so you can both hear it said properly and try it out loud together. It's especially handy when you know a language by ear but aren't sure how a particular word should sound.
Can it keep my child occupied on their own?
No — and that's on purpose. TuckleInTales only comes alive when you're there reading together. It's built for connection, not to babysit. (More on why in About us, below.)
What ages is it for?
Roughly 2 to 10. The writing is pitched to your child's age — tiny, rhythmic, repeat-after-me tales for toddlers, and richer adventures with fuller language for older readers.
Can I save stories and read them again?
Yes. Save your favourites to your family library and re-read them any time — re-reading a story you've saved is always free.
Is it safe and appropriate for children?
Yes. Stories are warm, kind, and wholesome — nothing frightening or unsafe — and any little wobble in a tale always resolves gently. Go ahead. Give it a try!

About us

TuckleInTales is built by NeganTech— a technology company that puts a human element at the heart of everything we make. We don’t build “babysitter” apps designed to keep a child quiet and alone with a screen. We build software that encourages human interaction and bonding — technology that brings people closer together rather than pulling them apart. TuckleInTales is exactly that: a way to turn story time into connection time, one page at a time.

“This isn’t a digital babysitter.”

TuckleInTales only works when you’re there — reading, giggling, and making the sound effects together. The screen is just the book. You are the magic.
